NGNLAB is initiative of academic institutions and private companies which cooperate in research projects in area of Next Generation Networks (NGN). It has been established by professionals from Slovak university of technology in Bratislava (STUBA) and Slovak Telekom. Nowadays several other institutions joined it as it is open for new members willing to cooperate in research projects.

Students at Institute of computer systems and networks of FIIT STUBA have been working on open source network traffic monitoring tool KaTaLyzer. It offers long term full network traffic monitoring. Data are displayed in graphs which can be displayed based on protocol as well as communicating nodes. It supports widely used protocols (Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, SSH, SIP, etc.). Features: - packet-by-packet network monitoring tool - network utilization graphs - graphs for each IP address and port - geoip functionality - pcap based

Dear NGNLAB users.
We would like to introduce 2nd version of OpenIMSCore liveCD. It has been prepared as a student's project at Slovak University of Technology with cooperation to ngnlab.eu project. From the first version, it differs in better reliability, usability (automatic network configuration) and more tools and features were added.

Students from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava developed several interesting NGN applications. The most interesting will be published here and also at 4th ngnlab.eu International Workshop which will be held in Bratislava in September and to which you are all invited.
GPS tracker
GPS tracker has been developed as Application Server connected to IP Multimedia Subsytem.
The tracker receives GPS position from registered IMS client through SIP MESSAGEs and displays it in GUI. If tracked object goes out of defined area, pre-defined IMS user (e.g. boss) is notified about it.
